It's trade fair time again: after a month-long forced break due to the Corona pandemic, everything at the Summer Nordstil from July 24 to 26, 2021, will revolve around discovering products, placing orders and the long-awaited personal exchange. The top priority is the safety and helath of all trade fair participants, which is guaranteed by a comprehensive hygiene concept.
"Nordstil already proved last summer that physical trade fairs are not only possible but also safe, even in times of pandemic. Almost a year and numerous digital events later, Corona is still an issue, but we are very pleased that with the help of our hygiene concept we can finally make the face-to-face encounter at the fair possible again," says Susanne Schlimgen, Head of Nordstil.
The hygiene concept, which was developed in close cooperation with the Hamburg health authorities, takes effect even before the trade fair begins. Ticket purchase is only possible online in the run-up to Nordstil in order to comply with the maximum number of visitors per day. When purchasing a ticket, the general hygiene and safety regulations must be confirmed and personal contact details provided. The in German so called 3-G rule (3-G-Regel) also applies to all trade show attendees - anyone entering the event grounds must be either vaccinated, tested or recovered and provide appropriate proof in print or digital form. A Corona antigen rapid test must be no more than 48 hours old when entering the exhibition grounds, and a PCR test no more than 72 hours old. To avoid waiting times at the entrance, it is strongly recommended to arrive at Nordstil already tested. A vaccination or convalescent certificate exempts from the testing obligation.
There is the possibility to be tested for Covid-19 opposite the Messe South entrance in the test center at Karolinenstraße 16. However, testing capacities are limited. The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during Nordstil and the day before the trade fair opens. Trade fair participants can make an appointment online and receive their test result within 30 minutes. The Luca App, which is already used extensively in the hospitality industry in Germany, will also play a role at this edition of Nordstil. At the exhibitors' stand, contact tracking is done with the help of this app. It can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store and Google Play Store.
Further protective measures have already proven their worth at last Summer Nordstil. This time, too, visitors will receive information on the currently valid hygiene regulations at all entrances during the trade show and regularly via loudspeaker announcements. The ventilation system ensures a constant exchange of hall air with fresh air. One-way traffic routes in access areas, extra-wide boulevards within the halls, and floor markings ensure sufficient clearance of one and a half meters. It is compulsory to wear medical mouth and nose protection in the exhibition halls. In addition, there are again numerous disinfection facilities throughout the event area. All regulations in the hygiene concept are based on the current status of official requirements and regulations. Possible changes will be made in close coordination with the state authorities and communicated in a timely manner. The Summer Nordstil will take place from 24 to 26 July 2021.
