Studio will cater to architects and customers looking for exceptional value in bespoke solutions on existing products in Design House Stockholm’s vast design collection. “Studio is a new concept and customer offering that has been developed by our team in response to perceived demands. It will spark the creativity amongst our fans while at the same time let us engage with local craftmanship expertise. We are proud and excited to launch this concept for both new and existing customers”, says Daniel Hansson, CEO of Design House Stockholm.

Studio will rely on Design House Stockholm’s worldwide network of manufacturers and artisans that has been perfected over three decades. Thanks to more than 60 designers, collaborating with Design House Stockholm as the one and only publishing house for Scandinavian design, Studio has all the design management strength needed to bring your ideas of custom design on existing products to fruition. Local production will be of unequivocal importance.

Among the first projects that manifests the possibilities with Studio are radically new backs in canvas, sheepskin, and other fur options for Lisa Hilland’s Torso. The chair can now add even more character to special interior projects, thanks to the collaboration between Lisa Hilland and Helena Engström, one of Stockholm’s foremost experts in upholstery. Lena Bergström’s well-renown tufted wool carpet will be available in different sizes with optional yarns that will further enhance her vibrant colors thanks to bespoke small-scale production. Alexander Lervik’s Luna Lamp can now conquer large spaces in spatial configurations reminiscent of extraterrestrial lights, thanks to a local partnership with blacksmiths in Ekerö, at the outskirts of Stockholm. Studio will also expand and amplify the Color Accent project that use the legendary color palette of Carl and Karin Larsson for selected designs.

Big or small, Studio will be at your service if you need a custom-made bold centerpiece for a hotel or an office lobby, or even for your private home. The starting point is our existing design collection, the rest is up to you to imagine…’’

Limited-edition products exclusively developed in Studio, including already existing projects mentioned, will be available for sales through Design House Stockholm’s own sales channels.
