Sofacompany was founded in 2012 with a mission to make Danish designs of good quality available to more people. The brand has succeeded by taking over the entire value chain, from design and production to sales and customer service. In this way, they can cut unnecessary expenses for dealers.
By taking over the entire value chain, Sofacompany designs each piece individually, builds it by hand, showcase it in its showrooms, and sells it through the webshop.
Their DYO (Design Your Own) universe means that products are only made once a customer orders. Furthermore, DYO makes it possible to choose fabric and legs, making the customer emotionally attached to a personalized 'one of a kind'-sofa. All this so that it minimizes unnecessary production and variants in stock.
Sofacompany acknowledges the need for change, so they offer loose covers. With this option, customers can renew by changing the cover- not the entire sofa.
The Cece table in FSC veneer is one of Sofacompany's new designs and it has been a great succes. However, the company wanted to meet customer demand with a more responsible version and created the Cece table in recycled plastic in collaboration with CDS, who collects their plastic from private homes, nature, and companies in Denmark.
Its KD design lowers the transportation carbon footprint.
Furthermore, the Cece recycled plastic table is made from one material only, and the parts are easily re-recycled.
